Placesign iPhone App Beacon

That's it, your beacon is now running.

The Placesign app will automatically wake up every time you arrive at work. Every 60 seconds it will broadcast a digital pulse of your business. When you leave work the app will automatically go to sleep.

Leave it running in the background - it works while you work and rests while you rest.

Indicator Dots

Placesign iPhone App Beacon

There are four little indicator dots on the left hand side of the Beacon that display the status and health of the Beacon. Basically Green is great, gray is OK and Red is bad. From top to bottom, with the top indicator dot being #1, here are what they do:

  1. Place Signal

The first and topmost indicator dot displays the status and health of your Place Status Signal.
    1. While on-premise, green indicates a healthy broadcast of the business' digital pulse signal.
    2. When off-premise the beacon will sleep and all four indicator dots will be gray.
  2. Offer Signal

While on-premise the app can optionally broadcast an offer, see the Offer section below.
    1. If an offer is activated, a green dot will indicate that the offer is currently being broadcasted.
    2. Normally this dot will remain gray to indicate that the offer option is not active.
  3. Person On-Premise Signal

The beacon has the option to also broadcast that the person is on-premise, See the privacy section below for more information.
    1. Green will indicate that a public signal is being broadcasted that the person is currently on-premise.
    2. Gray will indicate that either the person is off-premise or has chosen to keep their personal status private.
  4. Announcement Signal

See Announcement Section below for more information.
    1. If an optional announcement is being broadcasted the dot indicator will be green.
    2. By default the app does not broadcast announcements and the dot indicator will be gray.

With all these dot indicators a red dot will indicate a problem with the broadcast, refer to our Help center for resolution.
